  • It would be impossible to list every issue with which we can help. Some of the most common reasons to see us include mental health concerns (eg Anxiety, Depression, etc), stress, relationship issues, coping with chronic pain, communication skills, and simply wanting to get more out of life!

  • Not necessarily.

Our Psychologists can see you as a private client with no need for a referral. If you have private health insurance you may be able to claim back some of the session fees through your fund.

Many clients see their GP first and ask to be assessed for a Mental Health Care Plan, which allows them to receive a rebate on part of their session fees for a limited number of sessions per year.

Other clients may receive funding through the NDIS that can be used for psychological therapy.

  • Sessions are 50 minutes in duration.

  • This varies a little depending on the client and the issue on which they wish to work.

Typically your psychologist will spend some time coming to understand your background and the reason you have sought therapy. They will strive to create an environment and a relationship with you in which you feel comfortable to speak openly. They may also share some strategies or tips, or guide you through exercises, that can help you to achieve change in your life.

  • Yes, though we don’t recommend seeing two different therapists at the same time.

Sometimes we travel as far as we can with one person and a change can facilitate new growth.

Sometimes even very skilled therapists might be a poor fit for us.

We welcome clients who have seen other psychologists, and look forward to adding value to their lives.

  • Generally this is fine. If you are unsure please contact us or speak to your psychologist.

  • Fees are affected by a range of factors and change from time to time, so it is best to call and discuss this with our team.
